Module 1: Management of periodontal tissues: perio-restorative approach (4 video lessons)

Module Description: In this first educational module, participants will learn how to properly plan a multidisciplinary treatment to select the most appropriate surgical and restorative protocols. Dott.ssa Romano will discuss smile analysis, evaluation of dental proportions, and periodontal tissues, with particular attention to restoring proper morphology to prepare the field for restorative treatment, even in complex cases such as patients with altered passive eruption or significant gingival recession.

Video Lesson 1 – Understanding periodontal tissues for a correct aesthetic smile analysis (26 minutes)

Description: In this first video lesson, Dott.ssa Romano will extensively discuss the aesthetic importance of the border area between dental restorations and periodontal tissues, with a focus on achieving proper emergence profiles and contact points that can maintain the health of the periodontal tissues over time. Participants will discover the need to integrate a preliminary mucogingival surgery into the restorative treatment to restore the correct morphology of the periodontal tissues adjacent to the restoration area.
