Prosthetic Treatment of Malpositioned Implants in Esthetic Area
Malpositioned dental implants in the esthetic zone can have a significant impact on a patient’s appearance and overall oral health. Treatment options can vary, depending on the severity of the situation and the patient’s individual needs.
The course on the Treatment of Malpositioned Implants in the Esthetic Zone is designed to help dental professionals better understand the options available for pre- and post-surgical treatment of patients with unsuitable abutments or fixtures positioned too buccally and/or with non-optimal inclinations.
One of the key topics covered in the course is what to do when the removal of the osseointegrated implant is not an option. In some cases, implant removal may not be feasible due to factors such as implant stability or patient preferences. The course explores alternative options for managing malpositioned implants, such as soft tissue management and the use of digital technologies for prosthetic procedures.
Soft tissue management before and after surgery is also an important aspect of the course. Participants will learn how to modulate the shape and conditioning of the tissues, manage provisional restorations, and perform the pre- and post-surgical operative protocol for optimal results.
The course also covers the Welded Angulated Abutment technique, which was developed with the team of the School of Bologna. This technique allows dental professionals to manage even the most extreme cases, using digital technologies to ensure success and stability over time.
By the end of the course, participants will be able to identify the decision-making criteria that guide prosthetic retreatment, perform the pre- and post-surgical operative protocol for soft tissue management, and understand the synergy between prosthetic and surgical treatment for predictable and stable results.
Presented by Prof. Carlo Monaco and Prof. Giovanni Zucchelli, the course provides a comprehensive and in-depth analysis of the state of the art in pre- and post-surgical prosthetic management of patients with malpositioned dental implants in the esthetic zone.
